Household Hazardous Waste Day Coming Soon for Swampscott, Marblehead
There are fees associated with disposal.

Swampscott and Marblehead residents are invited to dispose of household hazardous waste during an event at the Marblehead Municipal Garage on May 30.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon and costs are $25 for up to 10 gallons/lbs. (a half car) and $45 for 10-25 gallons/lbs. (a full car).

Items that CANNOT be brought to the disposal day include asbestos, biological waste, needles, syringes, commericial/industrial waste, latex paint and fire extinguishers.
There is NO fee to drop off rigid plastic (children’s outdoor toys, plastic lawn furniture, broken recycling bins, coolers, etc.) or polystyrene (cups, meat/produce packaging, takeout containers, packing peanuts, etc.)
