On Wednesday, July 16th 6:30pm Matthew Lloyd, Director of Corporate Communications at iRobot, will give a presentation at the Swampscott Public Library about the company and its famous products. Their robots are manufactured for commercial and defense applications. Mr. Lloyd will talk about the different types of robots and their uses. And Mr. Lloyd will bring robots to the program for the audience to see. The iRobot Roomba, the vacuum cleaning robot, may be their most famous product. The iRobot 510 Packbot is one of their robots for defense and security. It is used for bomb disposal, and surveillance. This program is free, and open to teens and adults.The Swampscott Public Library is located at 61 Burrill Street, 781-596-8867.
