Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale Movie Gets a Name

It looks like the movie that brought Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence to Swampscott earlier this month has a name.

According to imdb.com, the movie is called American Hustle.

Hustle was filming in Boston the week of April 15 but stopped as the city came to a standstill during the search for Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, according to the Guardian.

Filming was due to resume on Monday, April 22, according to the news outlet.

Only a few weeks before, fans flocked to Humphrey Street in Swampscott as actors including Lawrence, Bale and Cooper shot a scene inside the Hawthorne by the Sea restaurant.

The seaside restaurant is a location in the David O. Russell movie about the 1970s Abscam scandal.

Jennifer Lawrence may be in the Boston area filming through the summer, according to Boston Magazine.

The magazine also reported in its Arts and Entertainment section, April 12, that Robert De Niro confirmed with Empire that he will play “a fixer of sorts” in the Russell film.  

According to imdb.com, American Hustle is based on a true story in which a con artist works with a federal agent to sting mobsters and politicians in the 1970s.
