Letter: Kessler's Work as Selectman has been 'Exemplary'

A voter discusses why he believes Glenn Kessler should be reelected.

As the feisty campaign for Selectman in Swampscott comes to an end this Tuesday, please allow me to make a few observations.

I started three months ago supporting incumbent Selectman Glenn Kessler because I thought his three years in the job were exemplary. I have not changed my mind!

Glenn’s indefatigable efforts on behalf of the residents are well known. His support for the people in the Greenwood Avenue area is outstanding. His fight to make sure the proposed turf field has no carcinogens (e.g., crumb rubber) will protect all of our children from harmful chemicals for many years to come. The Board of Health unanimously supports Glenn’s efforts in this area. Finally, Glenn supports a new elementary school, but not on Forest Avenue next to the middle school. He believes the site is flawed.

In my view the record is clear. Glenn is honest, has integrity, and is a gentleman. He votes for what he thinks is right for our small seaside town. Please vote for him on April 28th. He’s earned it.
