Letter: Spellios is the 'Right Person' to Move Swampscott Projects Along

Swampscott resident Irene McKiernan shares her thoughts about the upcoming election.

Dear Editor,

I have known Peter Spellios for over ten years. His daughter, Thea, and I became pen pals through a program run by the Swampscott Senior Center and Hadley School. The Spellios family are caring citizens who work hard for our town.

I am one of Swampscott’s many senior citizens. I really enjoy living here. The Swampscott Senior Center is a great resource for us. The programming is fantastic. It is run by thoughtful and dedicated people. I know the town is also run by thoughtful and dedicated people who truly care about its future. I do, however, feel that there are many projects to which we dedicate time and resources that seem to fizzle out without completion. There seems to be a lack of a coordinated vision for all of the things that Swampscott needs to get done. I think that Peter is the right person to start moving these projects along. I will be voting for Peter Spellios for Selectman and I urge you to do the same.
