Local Authors to Speak at Swampscott Library
Local history and local authors at a local library.

Local authors Daniel deStefano and Gerald Butler will be at the Swampscott Public Library later this month to talk about their latest book, “Sails and Rails.”
Their work is “a fully illustrated, full color, hardbound book that takes a very creative approach to celebrating Nahant—the island, the people, and the many sailing vessels that bear her name.”
DeStefano and Butler brought their artistic talents, deStefano his watercolors and Butler his sketches, to illustrate stories of “Viking clashes and Civil War battles, ships plying the Great Lakes and dories taking to the sea around their island,” according to a post on the library’s website.
