It's a lot pricier than the dinner bill he allegedly skipped out on.

CHELSEA, MA — The man accused of stabbing a Chelsea waitress in the neck after ditching on his dinner tab finally faced an attempted murder charge. Gerardo Menjivar, 36, was held on $100,000 bail and ordered to wear a GPS monitor and stay away from the victim, witnesses, and area of the alleged crime if he posts that amount.
Menjivar was taken into custody Wednesday by the Suffolk County District Attorney's Special Investigations Unit. He had been in Prince George's County, Maryland, since he was arrested there earlier this month.
Menjivar, who most recent address was in Lynn, allegedly left Las Pupusas Del Chino restaurant around 11 p.m. on May 7 without paying his bill. When the waitress confronted him on Blossom Street, he allegedly stabbed her in the throat. The victim was transported to Mass General. She is expected to survive.
