Man Who Slashed Waitress's Throat After Ditching Bill Nabbed: PD
A Lynn man who allegedly skipped out on his bill and slashed the waitress's throat when confronted was nabbed in Maryland.

CHELSEA, MA — A Lynn man accused of slashing a waitress's throat after skipping out on his restaurant tab has been arrested. Chelsea Police Chief Brian Kyes said Gerardo Reyes Menjivar, 36, was arrested in Beltsville, MD, Thursday morning by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
The 34-year-old waitress survived the attack. She had chased down Menjivar after he allegedly left Las Pupusas Del Chino on Washington Ave. without paying his bill.
Chelsea Police put a nationwide BOLO (Be On The Lookout) for Menjivar and the vehicle he was driving Tuesday.

"Today after a successful nationwide law enforcement effort we placed a violent individual into custody and our community is safer " Kyes said. "I thank the many agencies involved that worked in unison with our department to apprehend Menjivar."
Menjivar will be held in Maryland as a fugitive from justice as the Suffolk Court District Attorney’s Office tries to get him back to Massachusetts to face multiple charges, including assault to murder.
