Marblehead Counseling Center Unveils Band Lineup For Swamp-Stock Fundraiser

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The Marblehead Counseling Center has released the final band schedule for Swamp-Stock: Rock the Night!, a fundraiser set for at the new Swampscott Center for the Performing Arts.

The event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and is described as the first of its kind for both Marblehead Counseling Center and the new performance venue.

Tickets are $60 and benefit Marblehead Counseling Center. The price includes five hours of music and dancing with five area bands, plus a buffet and cash bar. Wristbands will allow attendees to come and go throughout the evening.

Doors are set to open at 5 p.m.

The first band, Lois Lane and the Daily Planets, is scheduled to take the stage at 6 p.m. The Boston-area group is a high-energy band that has been part of the music scene for four decades, performing classic rock, blues, rhythm and blues, funk, jazz, rock, soul, pop and dance music. The band includes Lois Lane on lead vocals, Peter Fedele on guitar, Lee Lundy on bass, Shawn Meehan on drums, and James Oliver Wharton, also known as Jayo, on sax, flute, drums and vocals.

At 7 p.m., Glass Harbor is scheduled to perform. The five-piece Marblehead band has roots in rock and the blues. The lineup listed in the announcement includes Brendan Kane on electric guitar, Nick Sears on acoustic guitar, Cam Heafitz on keyboard, Dylan Chardon on bass and Max Eidelman on drums.

B-Side Hustle, a Swampscott-based band, is set for an 8 p.m. performance. The group plays rhythm and soul with a mix of classic and contemporary soul, funk, rhythm and blues, and blues. The listed members are Sacha Bodner on guitar, percussion and vocals, Michael Bourne on bass, Jay Mahler on lead guitar, Michael McClung on keyboards and vocals, Jesse Piascik on saxophone and vocals, and Michael Smerka on drums.

The MERJ, a Nahant-based band featuring Roze and Jim Malone, and Mo, is scheduled for 9 p.m. The group plays a mix of genres including country, classic rock, Western swing and Celtic music, according to the announcement.

Funbucket is scheduled to close out the night at 10 p.m. Based on Cape Ann, the band is a high-energy live act playing rock, funk, soul and crowd favorites. The listed members are Kook Lawry, Chris O'Connor, Mike "Mr. Bogus" McMahon and Greg Dann.
