Marblehead Golf Downs Swampscott
The golfers play next today in an away match against Wakefield at Bear Hill Golf Course at 3:15 p.m.
A strong Marblehead High golf team outshot the Big Blue on a bright crisp afternoon Tuesday at Tedesco Golf Course.
Coach Linda Portnoy said it was a beautiful day but the results were tough. Swampscott lost to Marblehead 22.5 - 49.5 points.
Swampscott did not win any of the matches, though Max Cohen, in the third spot, scored a tie against his opponent.
Coach Portnoy said Marblehead played extremely well and their entire line-up was strong.
"We will keep working on our games and hopefully improve over the season," the coach said. Jim New is the assistant coach for the Big Blue.
The team's record is 0-2 in the conference and 2-3 overall.
