Marblehead Senior Home Caregiver Earns National Recognition

FirstLight Home Care of Swampscott and Marblehead's own Audrey Celaire was honored for her commitment to care and mentorship.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A Marblehead caregiver who works for FirstLight Home Care of Swampscott has earned high honors within her organization as the 2025 National Caregiver of the Year.

FirstLight said Audrey Celaire was selected based on her dedication to providing exceptional care that embodies FirstLight's mission of helping people have their best day, every day, while ensuring families have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are receiving the support they need.

With eight years of continuous service, more than 150 clients served, and a growing mentorship role within the company.

"When I started this job, I told my supervisor, 'I'm not taking this for a check. These clients are my parents,' Celaire said. "Every house I go to, I see my mom and my dad, and I hug them. Everything I do for them is exactly what I did for my own mom and dad. They don't have anybody else, so we have to treat them like family. You have to do this job with your heart, not just because it's your job."

According to franchise co-owner Molly Rowe, Celaire's loyalty and impact "provide a blueprint for what is possible when a culture of care and deep relationships are prioritized over procedural and routine caregiving."

Founded in 2009, FirstLight Home Care provides non-medical home care services that help adults age with comfort, dignity and independence in their own homes.

"Audrey just gives off this warm, genuine, kind energy. But what makes her truly special is that she's become the standard we measure every other caregiver against, and the mentor who helps new team members understand what FirstLight’s Culture of Care actually means," said Care Manager Caroline Hybels. "She approaches every emergency call like she’s here to save the day, and that attitude sets the tone for how our entire team shows up."

“Audrey's impact goes far beyond what we see in individual moments,” said FirstLight's Chief Executive Officer, Glee McAnanly added.
