Fire officials asked residents to stay away from that area of the city and advised residents of Lynn and neighboring North Shore communities that "unless you see flames near your property please do not call 911 reporting odors of smoke as it has blanketed the area."
Brush fire risk is expected to remain high for the next few days with warm temperatures, brisk winds and very low humidity.
