Swampscott police issued a warning to homeowners after the break-ins Friday afternoon.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott police are urging residents to keep their homes and vehicles locked when they are away — and even in many cases while they are in their own backyards — after a pair of daytime break-ins on Friday.

Police said officers responded to houses broken into on Cedar Hill Terrace and Bay View Avenue.

Both break-ins happened during the daytime.
