Nahant Power Outages Affect 1,000 On Frigid Day
Roughly a thousand were without power on a day where wind chills are below zero.

NAHANT, MA — A dump truck yanked down a pole and power lines Thursday morning, knocking power out out for about 1,000 people on what may have been the the coldest day of 2017.
The outage in the Little Nahant area was repaired around 3 p.m., according to National Grid. Police called the damage "extensive" and said in the morning power wouldn't be back for several hours. The Johnson School and the library were among buildings opening up to residents.
It was about 10 degrees in Nahant when the power went out, but wind chill factors dropped the "real-feel" temperatures to below zero.
