Patch Academy: Come Learn How We Can Help You

Meet us at the JCC Wednesday night and let us show you all the ways Swampscott Patch can help.

Here at Swampscott Patch, it's our goal to provide local residents and business owners with a website that serves as a place to post and share information.

We want our website to be more than just a place to read about what is happening around town — we want it to be a spot for you to swap ideas, make a point or promote an upcoming event.

This Wednesday, March 28, we will be hosting our first Patch Academy at the , located on Community Road, in Marblehead from 6 to 8 p.m.

We want to show you, our readers, how you can best utilize the site for your benefit. We'll teach you how to add events or announcements to the site for all to see; how to upload photos and videos from local events or hapenings; and introduce you to Local Voices, a special section where members of the community can write about the topics they care about most.

We also want to tell you more about Patch Places, our local business directory. If you're a small business owner, we'll help you claim your Patch Places listing (it's free!). Doing so will allow you to "own" your page on our site.

Patch Academy is free and open to everyone, so please stop by, talk with us and learn about all of the great ways that Swampscott Patch can serve you and our community.

If you have questions about the Patch Academy event, please email us at terry.date@patch.com . We look forward to seeing you on March 28.
