Police Make Arrests Following Motor Vehicle Stops
Plus, go-carts at the high school and stolen jewelry.

At 12:05 a.m., a person was reportedly sitting in an idling car in front of Newman’s Bakery. The person checked out and was sent on their way.
At 11:45 a.m., an resident reported that some jewelry had been stolen.

At 1:11 p.m., a report came in of go-carts operating behind Swampscott High School. The operators were packing up and leaving when officers arrived.

At 1:20 p.m., a disabled boat was reported, but then towed by a passing boater.
At 4:17 p.m., a caller said she thought she saw a man resembling the prison escapee walking toward Stetson Avenue. The report was logged as unfounded.
At 5:08 p.m., Bruce Block, 57, of Marblehead was arrested following a motor vehicle stop. Block was charged with failure to stop/yield and operating with a suspended license.
At 10:21 p.m., Pricilla Cortes, 25, of Quincy was arrested following a motor vehicle stop. Cortes was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding, as well as on warrants for unlicensed operation and operating an unregistered vehicle.
