Police Receive Another Call About Ice Cream Truck Issues

Excerpts from the Swampscott Police Department log.

Wednesday, May 20

At 12:53 p.m., a caller reported their neighbor’s door appeared to be open and the dog had escaped. The dog was returned to its crate and the door was secured. It appeared the dogwalker did not tightly close the door.

At 12:56 p.m., a person turned in to the station a house phone they had found.

At 2:31 p.m., two ice cream trucks were reportedly parked across from each other and kids were running out into traffic as a result. The truck drivers were told to move down opposite side streets so children could more easily and safely purchase the ice cream.
