Police Seeking Info about Mysterious Gunshots in Town
Swampscott police have responded to several reports of gunshots in recent weeks.

The Swampscott Police Department is hoping members of the public can shed some light on repeated calls of “shots fired” in town in recent weeks.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, the most recent call came in around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, April 19. Officers responded to the area of Pine Street and New Ocean Street, where they’ve responded repeatedly for similar calls in the past month.
Swampscott Lt. Gary Lord said no one has been reported injured as a result of the gunshots, but police have found evidence that shots were, in fact, fired.
