Qdoba Grill Benefit For Swampscott Farmers' Market Thursday

The first week for the Paradise Road restaurant included a ribbon-cutting, giveaways and lots of burritos.

 

The Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurant at 1016 Paradise Road has been open for a little over a week and is holding a benefit for the Swampscott Farmers' Market.

The Boston Red Sox mascot will make an appearance at the grill, located in a portion of the former Blockbuster movie rental space, on Thursday, June 20, between 3 pm and 5 pm. 

Anyone who donates $5 during the event will receive a free entrée and drink.  All proceeds benefit the Swampscott Farmers' Market.

Catherine Heng of Qdoba said the town has welcomed the new restaurant since it opened at 10:30 a.m., June 10.

It specializes in burritos and other Mexican fare and offers a variety of salsa.

The queso sauce has been popular, she said.

Qdoba is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

First week highlights included a spin-the-prize wheel with gifts including a free entrée and a Qdoba branded measuring spoons.

 The restaurant held a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce on June 12.

At the event on Thursday, June 20, Radio Magic 106.7 WMJX will be there and giving away prizes.
