Rain Postpones Swampscott Porchfest To Next Week

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Another rainy weekend forecast has forced the postponement of Swampscott Porchfest 2023.

The townwide outdoor music event is now scheduled to take place on Oct. 1.

Swampscott also canceled this year's Swamptoberfest because of two rain postponements. Town Administrator Sean Fitzgerald told the Select Board on Wednesday that the Recreation Department and town were looking into possibly doing another community event in its place later in the fall.

Bands and hosts are encouraged to reschedule performances for next weekend with a full lineup to be announced next week.
