Resident Comes Home to Find 'Some Type of Animal' in Her Home

Plus, police find an open door at a business and a loudly barking dog bothers a neighbor.

At 12:52 a.m., a caller reported people were fishing from the pier in violation of a posted order. Police didn’t see anyone on arrival.

At 2:40 a.m., an officer found an open maintenance door at Jos. A. Bank. A walk-though revealed everything to be in order.

At 6:40 a.m., a caller complained that a woman was in the area of Sculpin Way going through trash cans.

At 8:52 a.m., a caller stated that a neighbor’s dog was loudly barking in the area. Police located the residence and heard the loud dog. The dog’s owner later came into the station to report that the dog is a service dog and it barks when the owner is in distress or when the dog and owner are separated, which is what had occurred at the time of the complaint.

At 1:12 p.m., a caller reported ”some type of animal” was in her home. She was advised to contact the Board of Health in addition to police. A chipmunk was removed from the resident’s home.
