Diver Recovered Unresponsive Off Nahant: Coast Guard

The Coast Guard said the diver was transferred to awaiting emergency personnel.

NAHANT, MA — Authorities recovered a diver who was reported overdue off the coast of Nahant Saturday, the Coast Guard said. The 37-year-old man was unresponsive when crews found him.

The Coast Guard said the captain of the charter boat Keepah notified officials around 10 a.m. that the diver did not surface when expected.

The diver was taken to Seaport Landing Marina in Lynn and transferred to awaiting emergency personnel.

Along with the Coast Guard, the Massachusetts State Police dive team, Boston Fire Department dive team, the Beverly Fire Department dive team, the Nahant Harbormaster, the Nahant Police Departmentand the Swampscott Harbormaster responded to the search.
