Solicitors Reportedly Asking for Personal Information

Excerpts from the Swampscott Police Department log.

Monday, April 6

At 7:56 a.m., a caller reported that a vehicle parked in the soccer field on Essex Street was “acting suspicious.” The vehicle was gone on police arrival.

At 10:23 a.m., police received a report of two men going door-to-door and asking for personal information in the area of Roy Street. They were found to be part of a religious group.
