Sullivan Leads St. John's to Win

St. John's of Swampscott Boys Bantam Basketball

At the Swampscott Middle School, the Boys Bantams took on Our Lady of Assumption of Lynnfield.

Peter Battinelli got things going for St. John's with a length of the court drive for the first basket of the game. After Lynnfield evened things up, Luke Marshall's jumper sent Swampscott on a 6-0 run to take the early lead.

Both teams settled into an exchange of baskets. With 6:55 to go in the half, Chad Swigor fed Gavin Sullivan for a 3-pointer and a 15-6 St. John's lead.

Matty Moran's bucket with 45 ticks left on the clock gave Swampscott its biggest lead as they entered half-time up 27-15.

Lynnfield scored first to start the second half. More than two minutes went by before St. John's could manage to score. But when they finally did, it was a big 3-pointer by Brendan Bradley.
