High School Success $175 grades 7–9

The program provides an opportunity for middle school students and high school freshmen to familiarize themselves with the high school writing and math experience. Increase writing skill competency to meet the demands of high school curriculum while gaining math skills necessary for success in Algebra and upper–level, high school math classes.

Volleyball $150 grades 4–6

Under the direction of Coach Erin Menard and staff, the volleyball camp will cater to players of all skill levels from beginners to experienced. The focus of the week will include fundamental drills on footwork, setting and serving. There will be scrimmages each day as well as daily and weekly awards.

JULY 13-17

STEM $200 grades 4–6

CS Unplugged

Introduce computing concepts without even using the computer. The activities teach using fun games that don’t distract with technical details.

LEGO NXT

Students learn object–oriented programming in Alice and build your own LEGO Mindstorms robots that can play music, dance, follow a black line, avoid obstacles, push objects and play tag!

Lightbot

Lightbot gets players coding and puzzle solving! The game offers an easy way for kids to learn computer science concepts like loops, if–then statements, and the like without typing or coding.

Girls Basketball $150 grades 4–9

Under the direction of the current St. Mary’s basketball staff, current players and alumni who are now playing in college, the girls basketball camp will emphasize the fundamentals of basketball as well as higher level instruction for top–level players. Each day will consist of numerous drills, contests, scrimmages and guest speakers.

JULY 20–14

STEM $200 grades 7–9

Mechanical Engineering

Students will design solutions to every day problems by utilizing the engineering process, conducting tests and redesigning. Develop math and science skills using teamwork and creativity.

Autodesk

Autodesk is a world leader in 3D design software for entertainment, manufacturing, engineering and construction. Learn basic shapes, dimensions and how to extrude and make adjustments.

STEM: CSI $200 grades 4–9

CSI: Crime Scene Investigations!

Step into the shoes of a Crime Scene Investigator! Campers will learn to process a crime scene by working hands–on to gather evidence. Working together as a Crime Scene Unit, they’ll take crime scene photographs and search for evidence. They’ll also start a case file to keep track of the evidence throughout the week. Campers will then learn real procedures for collecting fingerprints and analyzing blood and DNA. As more evidence starts cropping up campers must put the clues together and process the crime scene evidence! Campers will learn the importance of processing and packaging evidence, including the different methods that can be used.
