Swampscott ARPA Funds Spending Survey Closes Labor Day

Swampscott is conducting a community-wide survey to help determine how to best spend its remaining America Recovery Plan Act funding.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Time is running out for Swampscott residents and business owners to share their thoughts on what the town should do with approximately $4.1 million in American Recovery Plan Act funding.

The town is looking for ideas for one-time investments that can provide long-term benefits. There must be a relationship between the pandemic, its effects, and the steps the town is taking to respond and recover from it.

The town allocated about $400,000 toward salary compensation for town employees
— both union and non-union — who carried an extra burden during the health crisis.
