SWAMPSCOTT, MA — It's been a busy few weeks of highly successful activity for the Swampscott High cheer team as the girls sold more than 200 pies during their annual Thanksgiving fundraiser while also qualifying for the MA North Regionals at the league championship meet.

The cheer team sold 204 pies during their fundraiser, which was conducted online and at the Swampscott farmers' market. Thirty-two of the pies will be donated to My Brother's Table serving North Shore residents in need in Lynn.

Spinelli's Pies has provided the goodies for the past seven years of the fundraiser to raise money for future program equipment and training.

Spinelli's will deliver the pies to 61 Blaney Street on Nov. 22 where the cheerleaders will have a rolling pickup from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who purchased a pie (or two, or three) can drive up to the front of the house, provide their name and the pie(s) will be brought to their car.

The cheer team also scored 67 at the Northeastern Cheer Competition in Gloucester on Nov. 5 — which was 12 points above their previous competition.
