Man Killed In Swampscott Overnight Crash On Paradise Road
Swampscott and State police are investigating a crash that killed a passenger and left the driver critically injured early Wednesday.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — An overnight crash on Paradise Road killed one person and left another seriously injured.
The Essex County District Attorney's Office said Swampscott and State police were investigating the crash that occurred about 2 a.m. on Wednesday when a 2005 Honda Accord apparently drove off the northbound side of Route 1A and struck a tree.
Swampscott police and fire and Atlantic Ambulance responded and found two victims with life-threatening injuries.

The male passenger was taken to North Shore Medical Center and was pronounced dead. The male driver was taken to North Shore Medical Center and later transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital where the DA's Office said he was in critical condition early Wednesday afternoon.
The DA's Office said the name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
