Swampscott Disabled Veterans Support DAV Day In Chelsea
Members of the E.F. Gilmore DAV of Swampscott/Lynn recently visited and made a donation to the Chelsea veteran resident home.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Members of the Swampscott/Lynn E.F. Gilmore Disabled Veterans of America recently visited a veterans home in Chelsea to make a donation and spread holiday cheer as part of DAV Day.
"We are thrilled to spend time with our brother and sister veterans and look forward to this event every year," Commander Jeffrey Blonder said. "While there the members of the DAV were able to update the residents of new programs offered to veterans and assist them with VA claims. DAV Day is one of the cornerstone programs of the DAV and help fulfill the mission of the DAV: 'Life Changing Support for those Who Served.'"
The Swampscott/Lynn DAV members delivered holiday cards to members of the Chelsea Veterans Home and presented a check for $1,000 for the home's social and welfare fund.
