Swampscott Earth Fest Planned For Town Hall Lawn

The free event set for April 29 will include a white oak tree giveaway, a used bike sale, food and lawn games.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A day of fun and environmental awareness is planned for the Swampscott Town Hall Lawn later this month.

The free Swampscott Earth Fest will return to the lawn on April 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a tree giveaway, used bike sale, games, food and information on environmental stability.

The Friends of the Swampscott Rail Trail will host the used bike sale, the Tree Committee will give away up to 100 white oak seedlings, and the Swampscott Conservancy will hold demonstrations on making a native seed ball.

There will also be information and activities with the Girl Scouts of Ocean Bay, the Climate Action & Resilience Coalition, the Renewable Energy Committee, the Swampscott Racial Action Justice Group, and the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

There will also be local vendors and games.

A rain date for the event has been scheduled for May 6, if necessary.
