Swampscott Fire To Hold Info Day For Residents, Potential New Recruits
The Swampscott Fire Department will hold a live equipment demonstration and answer questions about being a firefighter.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Those interested in learning more about the Swampscott Fire Department — and perhaps even joining it — are invited to an information session planned for this weekend ahead of the upcoming firefighter entrance exam.
There will be live equipment demonstrations and a chance to talk to members of the department about what it's like to be a firefighter in the town.
The session will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Burrill Street station.

The department said that while its hiring needs vary from year to year, its "goal is to continually seek out highly qualified and diverse candidates to join us."
