Swampscott Firefighter Graduates from State Firefighter Training Program
In case you missed it, there's a new firefighter in town.

The Swampscott Fire Department can officially welcome a new member.
On June 19, Jason P Losano with the Swampscott Fire Department graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy’s 45-day Career Recruit Firefighting Training Program.
“This rigorous professional training provides our newest firefighters with the basic skills to perform their jobs effectively and safely,” said State Fire Marshal Coan.

Twenty-one men graduated as part of the 229th class. The ceremony, at which Boston Globe columnist Kevin Cullen served as the guest speaker, took place at the Department of Fire Services in Stow.
