Swampscott High Makes List of Best High Schools in the State
Niche Rankings recently released its "Best Public High Schools" list.

Niche Rankings recently released its report on the Best Public High Schools in Massachusetts, and Swampscott High School made the list of 100 at number 92.
Niche ranked 14,431 high schools nationwide based on dozens of key statistics, as well as opinions from 280,000 parswaments and students.

“A high ranking indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students who rate their experience very highly,” said Niche.
Swampscott High School received an “A-minus” overall Niche grade. Some of the individual category scores included an ”A” score in the Sports and Fitness category and “A-minus” scores in the Academics, Extracurriculars and Administration categories. The lowest score, a “C-plus,” was in Student Culture and Diversity.

The methodology used is explained here. A high ranking indicated that students were happy with many aspects, that the school is an exceptional academic institution, is made up of a diverse population and that students are actively involved.
