Swampscott Horribles Parade Back For 80th Year On July 4
Donations are sought to support the annual march of decorated vehicles and costumed revelers.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The will once again be a bit of Horribles in the air in Swampscott this July 4 as the annual Horribles Parade returns for an 80th year.
The Shaw Estate will sponsor this year's parade, which will start off with the judging of decorated cars and costumes at 9:15 a.m. at the corner of Aspen Road and Arbutus Road with the parade beginning at 9:30.
A Swampscott police car and fire truck will lead the parade down Aspen Road across Forest Avenue and around Lexington Circle.

Prizes will be given for the best float, bikes/trikes, rollerblades/scooters/boards, pets, house along the parade route, and both children and adult horribles costumes.
Refreshments, prizes and awards will be given out after the parade.

Donations are needed to keep this tradition alive and can be delivered to Danielle Lima at 164 Aspen Road or via Venmo @dani7261.
Organizers are also looking for people to purchase coffee, popsicles and help with judging and set up.
