Swampscott To Host Teen Addiction Forum

Swampscott police, school officials and the DA's Office will host the forum for middle and high school students on April 25.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott students and their families are invited to a public forum on addiction and the dangers of opioids, vaping, smoking and other destructive behaviors that put young brains at risk.

The forum is open to teens and families of middle and high school students on April 25 at 6:30 pm. in the high school auditorium.

Swampscott police, school officials and representatives from the Essex County District Attorney's Office will facilitate the discussion. The night will include a slideshow and a panel that promotes an open discussion.

The panel will be made up of medical professionals, school representatives, family members with a history of addiction and members of the Swampscott Police Department.
