Swampscott To Host World Cup Title Match Viewing Party

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A festive summer of World Cup watch parties will conclude on Sunday with a public viewing event for the FIFA championship match on Swampscott's Town Hall Lawn.

Residents are invited to bring chairs, blankets, friends and family members to watch Argentina take on Spain for the title on the big screen.

The match begins at 3 p.m.

Due to the threat of thunderstorms, there is no scheduled watch party for Saturday's consolation game between England and France.

"Thank you to everyone who has joined us throughout the tournament — it has been so fun watching," Swampscott Recreation said. "Swampscott, come together to cheer on the world's game."
