SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Ballots were resent to Swampscott residents in Precincts 3 and 5 after the town clerk's officer said there was an "inadvertent printing error" on the ballots affecting the town meeting candidates.

Town Clerk Jared LaLiberte said corrected ballots were sent out to all those who requested a vote-by-mail or absentee ballot in the affected precincts. The inside and outside of the re-issued ballots are marked with a blue highlight and the ballots have an orange color heading.

Anyone who has already sent their ballots back in those precincts is asked to cast a corrected ballot, which will count if received by 8 p.m. on April 30. If a corrected ballot is not received by the close of polls on April 30, the original ballot will be counted.
