SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A Swampscott man was set to appear in Lynn District Court Monday morning after police said he was found in possession of an untraceable "ghost gun" as well as a high-capacity magazine and an explosive in a safe in his Rock Avenue home on Friday, Swampscott police said.

Police said David Sill was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a high-capacity feeding device and possession of an explosive destructive device.

Police said they received a report of "an incident with Sill involving a handgun" that a witness described as a "ghost gun" — a gun that is untraceable because it contains no serial numbers.
