Swampscott Marathon Trivia To Benefit Mass Down Syndrome Congress
Alberto Garcia will run the Boston Marathon in April as he raises money for Down syndrome research.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Alberto Garcia began distance running around the onset of the COVID=19 pandemic two years ago.
By last October, he completed his first marathon in Chicago.
In April, Garcia will take on his second 26.2-mile trek when he runs his first Boston Marathon to raise money for the Mass Down Syndrome Congress.

"I am running on behalf of all those that have a little extra," Garcia said on his fundraising page. "I am especially honored to be running on behalf of some very special people — Landon Pietrantonio, a rock star who also happens to be my wife's godson, and my cousin Alejandro Galvan, a star in my family.
"Both Landon and Ale bring so much joy to everyone they meet and the Mass Down Syndrome Congress helps so many individuals just like them."

To assist in his efforts to raise $10,000 for the Mass Down Syndrome Congress, Garcia and his wife, Charlotte Daher de Garcia, will be hosting a trivia night at the Swampscott Yacht Club on March 12.
The event will include raffle items donated by Mission on the Bay, Dominos, Jersey Mike's, Sup East Coast Style, Eat Well Kitchen, Tread Tabata, uGlow Med Spa, Turnstone Market, Burkes, Raina’s Salon, Swampscott Massage Spa, Trickster Lures and more.
A $20 ticket (cash or Venmo at the door) includes pizza, treats and entry to play trivia and win prizes. There will be a cash bar and a DJ.
