Swampscott Military 'Hero Meals' Offered For Thanksgiving 2021

The Military Friends Foundation is giving out $100 grocery gift cards, pies and thank-you cards to service members and their families.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The Military Friends Foundation will be giving out $100 "Hero Meal" gift cards at its Swampscott office next week as a way to say "thank you" for their service.

Military families, families of the fallen, and military veterans are able to receive the 2021 Thanksgiving "Hero Meals" — which include pies, a $100 grocery gift card and homemade thank-you cards from Families of the Fallen.

Uniformed officers will place the packages in the car for contactless curbside pickup on Tuesday.

More than 150 families have registered to receive $100 grocery gift cards in Swampscott on Tuesday which is part of Military Friends Foundation’s statewide Thanksgiving Hero Meals, which will provide 1,000 meals across Massachusetts.

Military Friends Foundation is providing more than $30,000 in support to military families at Hanscom Air Force Base, Gold Star families and local veterans this Thanksgiving season.
