Swampscott Primary Early In-Person Voting Starts, Registraton Deadline

Early in-person voting and the deadline to register to vote in the Sept. 6 primary are both Saturday in Swampscott.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The start of in-person early voting and the voter registration deadline for the Sept. 6 state primary are both this Saturday.

The deadline to register to vote in the primary is Saturday at 5 p.m. Residents who want to register to vote can do so online here, by downloading an application here and returning it to the town clerk's office at 22 Monument Avenue by 5 p.m. on Saturday or by filling out the form at the clerk's office by the Saturday deadline.

Early, in-person voting will also take place at the Swampscott Town Hall beginning on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Early voting continues on Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Massachusetts allows for vote-by-mail for any reason. Vote-by-mail applications for the Sept. 6 primary must be requested by Monday at 5 p.m. and must be received back at the clerk's office by the close of polls at 8 p.m. on Sept. 6.
