Swampscott Rail Trail Bike Sale Set For Farmers Market Opening Day

The bike sale will be on the Town Hall Lawn on June 11.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The Friends of the Swampscott Rail Trail are looking to help get North Shore residents out and about on the bike paths this outdoor season with its next bicycle sale set for June 11 on the Swampscott Town Hall Lawn.

The sale will be part of the opening day of the Swampscott Farmers Market.

The group is an all-volunteer community organization that advocates for the Rail Trail, provides maintenance and upkeep of the trail, and fundraises for the creation and beautification of it.

The group works in partnership with members of the Town of Swampscott Department of Community and Economic Development, which oversees the design and construction of the Swampscott Rail Trail as a community project.

The Friends of the Swampscott Rail Trail has dozens of bikes for sale that range all the way from My Little Pony kids' bikes and scooters to professional mountain bikes.
