Swampscott Residents Receive Student Honors

A number of Swampscott residents are being recognized for their achievements at a variety of high learning institutions.

Francis Legere, who is studying at Framingham State University and Patrick Sheehan and Yelena Potapova, who are both studying at Salem State University, have been inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Phi Kappa Phi is “the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines,” according to a press release. Membership is by invitation only.

In other academic honors news, Sophie Forman of Swampscott was named to the President’s List for Spring 2015 at Champlain College.

“Students who are named to the President’s List have achieved a semester grade point average of 4.0 or higher. Forman is majoring in Game Art and Animation.”
