Swampscott Student Receives Another President's Volunteer Service Award

The Swampscott High School senior founded her charity in 2009.

Moira Landry is once again the recipient of the President’s Volunteer Award for her work with Hope for Creativity.

Landry founded Hope for Creativity in 2009, according to the organization’s website. Through her nonprofit, Landry has worked to deliver packs of art supplies to thousands of children living in shelters throughout Massachusetts.

“The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) recognizes, celebrates and inspires community service leaders and volunteers to lead the charge,” according to the award’s website. “It’s our goal to encourage more individuals to embody the spirit of volunteerism that makes this country so great.”
