Swampscott Students Honored At BU, Clark, RIT, Smith. Utah

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — These Swampscott students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation.

Merilyn Hinrichs was recognized as a United Soccer Coaches All-American Third Team,
All-Region III First Team, and D3 Coaches All-American Second team in her Fall 2021 soccer season at William Smith.

Naomi Culliton, a 2019 graduate from Swampscott High School, was named to the Fall Dean's List at Boston University.

Nicholas Parsons was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the Fall 2021 Semester. Parsons is in the mechanical engineering program.

Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed at least 12 credit hours.

Diana Shalimova was named to first honors on the Clark University Dean's List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2021 semester.

Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

In recognition of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named more than 800 students to the Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. Swampscott students receiving the honor include Abigial Beaver and Isabella Chavez.

Will Kingston was named to the University of Utah's Fall 2021 Dean's List. Kingston's major is listed as Communication BS.

Kingston was among more than 9,600 students named to the Fall 2021 Dean's List at the U. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term.
