Swampscott Students Honored At Emerson, Lehigh, SNHU, Stonehill

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — These Swampscott students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation.

Samantha Conti, a member of the Class of 2022, has been named to the Fall 2021 Dean's List at Stonehill College.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Michael Johnson graduated from The University of Tampa on Dec. 17. Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting BS.

The commencement ceremony included 1,063 undergraduate and graduate candidates. The ceremony included remarks by Lonnie Bryant, chair of the Department of Finance and professor of finance, and the student challenge speaker.

Katherine Strothman has been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester.

To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Springfield College named Margaret Barden to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the 2021 fall semester.

Barden has a primary major in Sport Management.

The criteria for selection to the Dean's List are as follows: The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, exclusive of "P" grades. The student must not have any incompletes or missing grades in the designated term. The student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term.

Aidan Bonner is among the students named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the fall 2021 semester. The requirement to make Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

Bonner is majoring in Media Arts Production and is a member of the Class of 2025.

Ashley Marston was named to the Fall 2021 Dean's List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Lehigh University Dean's List status, which is awarded to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses, has been granted to Isabelle O'Toole in the fall 2021 semester.

Lauren Barbuzzi, a Lasell University student, participated in the institution's annual Career Readiness Symposium.

Barbuzzi presented "Making the Calls: A Female Umpire's Journey Through Professional Tennis in Uniform Style," as part of a course on fashion collection research and management. The project required collaboration skills, research, analytical writing, and technological expertise working with the Lasell University Fashion Collection. The presentation incorporated the NACE competency of professionalism.

Julia Webster was named to Southern New Hampshire University's fall 2021 Dean's List.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits; undergraduate day students must earn 12 credits in the fall or spring semester, and online students must earn 12 credits in either EW1 & EW2, EW3 & EW4, or EW5 & EW6.

Lauren Barbuzzi and Tania Shadari were recognized for their academic performance in the fall 2021 semester at Lasell University.

Students who receive this honor have completed at least 12 credits as full-time students and have achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Ashley Leblanc was named to the Plymouth State University Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the Fall semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Leblanc is an English major at Plymouth State.
