Swampscott Trash Pickup Changing On Some One-Way, Dead-End Streets
Republic Services says some one-way and dead-end roads need new trash collection procedures for safety.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott residents on certain one-way streets and dead-end roads will see changes to trash collection as Republic Services adjusts service on routes tied to safety and truck access.
The changes apply only to some streets, not the entire community.
The town said Republic Services identified several one-way streets and dead-end roads where the current collection process needs to be adjusted. Republic said the changes are intended to improve safety and match the capabilities of the automated collection vehicles used for pickup.
