Swampscott Week Of Memorial Events Begins Tuesday
Events include grave decorating and a Memorial Day ceremony at the Swampscott Cemetary veterans' section.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A week of events honoring Swampscott veterans and its fallen heroes begins on Tuesday.
Grave decorating in the veterans' section at Swampscott Cemetery is set for 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Starting Friday and running through Monday, there will be a display on the town hall lawn honoring all Massachusetts soldiers fallen since Sept. 11, 2001. Volunteers looking to help with setup are asked to meet at 5 p.m. on Friday.

A Memorial Day ceremony to honor the town's fallen heroes will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the veterans' section of Swampscott Cemetery.
Events are being organized through Lynn-Swampscott Veterans' Services.
