Swampscott's Big Blue Bargains Donates $10K To Senior Center

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The Swampscott Senior Center received a $10,000 donation from Big Blue Bargains to support programs and services for older adults in the community.

"Thanks to the generosity of our shoppers, donors, and volunteers who make a difference right here in Swampscott," Big Blue Bargains said of the donation.

The Swampscott Senior Center said the support "will help us continue providing valuable programs, services, and opportunities that enrich the lives of our seniors."

"We are grateful for your commitment to our community and for making such a meaningful difference. Thank you for your generosity," the Senior Center posted on social media.

Big Blue Bargains is a Swampscott nonprofit that promotes "conscious consumerism that directly funds or charitably donates to areas of need that benefit the community of Swampscott."

Founded in 2012, Big Blue Bargains last year relocated to the former Clarke School in Swampscott.

Big Blue Bargains is currently seeking volunteers for both public-facing and "closed" shifts where volunteers can work on special initiatives and projects.
