Tournament Play Begins This Week for Swampscott Basketball, Hockey Teams

The Swampscott High School boys’ ice hockey and basketball teams head into state tournament play this week. Here’s a look at the schedule:

Boys’ basketball (9)
First round: Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. against Saugus (8) at Saugus High School. The winner will face Greater Lawrence (1) at Greater Lawrence on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.

Boys’ ice hockey (13)

1st round: Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. against Shawsheen (4) at Salem State University. The winner will face either East Boston (5) or Weston (12) on Friday, Feb. 27 (time TBD).
